PCT Thru-Hike (2012)

After driving cross country for three days from New York to Oregon with a minor delay in Idaho, thanks to car troubles, I slept for a few hours in Portland International Airport for my 6 a.m. flight to San Diego. I owe the greatest thanks to trail angels Scout and Frodo for picking me up from the airport, lodging me for the night, and stuffing my belly with a fantastic meal. I planned on starting the PCT in two days, on the 26th to give myself time to recover from 4 non-stop days of traveling. Plans never seem to work out. The next morning, on the 25th of April, I was in a car for the Mexican Border. I stepped out into the cool southern California desert at the monument, starting my journey. Was I tired? Absolutely. My excitement enveloped my jaded mind and body. I didn't have time to be tired, I told myself, 'Walk it off.' and I did. 172 days later on October 14th  around dusk I reached the Canadian Border completing my thru-hike of the PCT. My blog entries are compiled below which include a number of fabulous pictures from my hike. Enjoy!!
